My next children's book is a nonfiction/photo-essay book aimed at the educational market. The manuscript follows Lt. Brooks Frederick, of the Austin Fire Department, and his accelerant detection dog Pearl, on the job. Photographs accompanying the manuscript are by Caroline Ulbrich, a professional photographer in Austin, Texas. Additional photographs provided by Captain Bob Parker, of the Austin Fire Department. Follow Brooks and Pearl as they investigate fire scenes to determine the origin of the fire and assess whether or not arson has occurred. Pearl is a vital part of the investigation team, along with Lt. Frederick and other investigators, in Austin. |
